Information on Branches......
Rachel Thompson (1888-1978) daughter of Cornelius and Edith, has anyone any information on her siblings who are Walter 1884, Jane 1886, Edith 1891 , Elizabeth 1895 and Rosie 1898. Known to have lived at Hope Street and New Street Darfield.
Bertram Rowland 1907 Osmond Turner 1908 son of George Turner c1876\7 - 1927, information relating to George would be appreciated particular his parents, said to have been born in Barnsley, father given as Joseph (green grocer - deceased) on marriage certificate in 1904 when married Elizabeth Ogden Tipping. George lived on School Steet Darfield.
Thanks in anticipation.

George Turner
[i]In the 1901 census I can see a George Turner born 1877 Barnsley living with a family called Pickering Queen St Darfield.
1891 census George Turner 1877, William H Turner 1880 Barnsley and their mother Harriet Turner wid 1847 all boarding at 40 Station Road Wombwell head of family George Garratt wid. I can see a death for a Joseph Turner in 1885 Barnsley.
What I can't see in 1881 is George or a Joseph together as a family but will keep looking.
Regards Carolanne

George Turner
Hi Carolanne
I did send for what i thought was the correct birth cert for George which gives father as Joseph and mother as Harriet formerly Phillipson, but Josephs profession given as Builder's Carter not Green Grocer, unless he had a career change later in life?
But still leaves the problem of why the family weren't together in 1881 census.
I now know that George's brother married Martha Ann Lees in 1931 at Wombwell, George died in 1927 and is buried in All Saints churchyard, Elizabeth died in 1916. So having some success with the research but not on solving\proving parentage of George.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to help.
