A member of my family left me a silver and gold watch chain medalion.on the reverse side engraved is PRESENTED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE LIVE AND LET LIVE CLUB,TO HENRY PARKER FOR CHAIRMANSHIP 1898 AT THE GEORGE INN HEALEY. I have been trying to find out the history of Rawling House without success. The period I am interested in is between about 1761 to about 1800. During that period some of my ancestors (name of Wilcock) were either born and/or died there.
I would greatly appreciate any information.

Just thought you might like to try a website Friths - Photographs. There you can view for free photos of the area you are interested in. I have just looked and I think there are 9 photos for Barnsley. The oldest is only going back to 1948 unfortunately but nevermind it was a good year!
