From 1939 - 1947 my Grandfather owned the Waverely Hotel in Regent St South in Barnsley.I have been able to obtaina couple of side view photos of the street from the Barnsley Local history library. But wondered if anyone on here had any photos of the area then ??

I have a number of Francis Hoyland's in my tree including one in the Huskar Pit disaster however I am limited to internet searching. I am trying to establish whether Francis Hoyland who married Rebecca Hattersley (Hoyland) in 1790 was the same Francis who married Lydia Hawden in 1805 - if anyone knows please let me know....I know it is a long shot but thanks anyway.

A member of my family left me a silver and gold watch chain medalion.on the reverse side engraved is PRESENTED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE LIVE AND LET LIVE CLUB,TO HENRY PARKER FOR CHAIRMANSHIP 1898 AT THE GEORGE INN HEALEY.
