Hi
I am new to this forum

Several of my Cheshire ancestors and their close relatives moved to Dodworth, presumably to work in the Colliery

They lived in North Royd, Dodworth. Can anyone tell me where that was?

Also I am looking to identify the deaths of some - the names are common and it is hard to identify from the death registration.

Can you tell me are there any burial records or Monumental Inscriptions available?

Thanks in advance

Bob

Hiya Bob
I live in Dodworth so I should know where it is unless the area was knocked down before I was born so if you can give me some names and birth years I can look for them in the census then tell you where it was situated.
There are burial records but the ones I know about are at the main library in Barnsley.

Thanks for the reply
I did not see this until now

My old email address is no longer valid - not sure whether this site generates notifications for replies

Since my post I have been to the area and Seen George and Sally's gravestone in Dodworth Churchyard

Thanks

Bob
